ABOUT

Te Rongo’s practice explores universalism, integrating archetypal and esoteric symbolism within a framework rooted in a Māori worldview.

Her multidisciplinary approach combines art glass with materials such as steel, fibre and wood, brought together through immersive installation and film.  This unique blend creates works that resonate with depth and cultural insight inviting viewers into layered narratives of meaning.

Her work is often inspired by whakapapa, the interconnected threads of existence that link all things, and wairua, the life force that animates them. Through these lenses, her pieces navigate the fluid boundaries between past, present, and future, inviting viewers into narratives where time and space converge, embodying a perspective on continuity and transformation.
